I'm not dead.
But the Red Sox are in the World Series. One game away from winning. For the first time since 1918. ... There. Are. No. Words. | | Saturday, October 2nd, 2004 | | 1:00 am |

Just because
I haven't drawn any XMen in ages. And I figure that Gambit just has to be a New Orleans Saints fan. ( The irony, the irony. )Because, you know, Remy. A Saints fan. When he's anything but. Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees the irony in this. Prismacolor markers and Micron pens. It was fun drawing the sweatshirt over his uniform. I've never drawn anything with a Saints design, so it was also fun in that sense. Man, there ought to be some comic book characters from Detroit that I can draw in Lions gear. Why aren't there any heroes from Detroit? I demand answers. | | Wednesday, September 22nd, 2004 | | 11:28 pm |
OK, I normally wouldn't be posting this often
But! The Red Sox won tonight! *does the happy dance* So I needed a little time to celebrate, and then I needed a little time to cool down and get back into homework mode. So, this happened. Character(s): Draco/Harry/Quidditch goggles Rating: R for big sloppy kissing Link (or lj-cut): ( Goggle Kiss )Constructive comments? Pleeeease. The more you give, the merrier I get. C'mon, I'm in art school, I can take it! Is this a WIP (Work in Progress)? Nope. Done fast and dirty to calm me down after a night of beautiful baseball. No forethought went into this sucker. Notes: Have I not already been a wordy bugger? No? It's Micron pen and Prismacolor marker, with a teensy tiny smidge in Photoshop because Harry's cheek made my eyes scream. I am a horrible sucker for Malfoys, and H/D is a pairing that I just can't get enough of. | | Monday, September 20th, 2004 | | 2:50 pm |

Meh.
Quick sketch of movie!Draco. More practice with the tablet. Man, I suck at the tablet. I think the file size is small enough that I don't have to lj cut it. Hmm. Yeah. Photoshop. | | Thursday, September 16th, 2004 | | 11:43 am |

Fanart of a fanfic.
Does that make me crazy? Hmm. Probably. Anyways, cluegirl wrote a fantastic HP story called Severus Snape and the Ghostwritten Romance. Using Potterverse characters it follows the story of Cyrano de Bergerac. In a brilliant, brilliant way. Anyways, I followed it from update to update as cluegirl posted the chapters on her journal one by one, and it captured my heart, brain, and literary little soul. And then I got an artbunny, and had to draw something for it. Because, being a sad entity of teh interweb, I can't think of a better way to thank her for tossing us such a frikking great story. But I digress. ( Ghostwritten fanart ahoy! )Anyways, it didn't come out quite as nicely as I had hoped, but at least it's done and I suppose it could have come out a whole heck of a lot worse. Ah well. | | Saturday, September 11th, 2004 | | 8:50 pm |
More non-promised art.
This was just a very simple sketch of one of my original characters that I used to mess around with a slightly different kind of computer coloring. Turns out there's only so much you can do without a tablet. Gah. ( I have a hideously misshapen sword! )Yeah, the other stuff is all coming along. If only I didn't have this damn homework... | | Tuesday, September 7th, 2004 | | 11:59 am |
OK, I haven't finished that other picture yet,
it's taking quite a long time. I've got most of the colors down, and I'm done with the background, I just have to finish shading the figures. You will be seeing *gasp* naked boys *gasp* here soon. To hold you until then, have this little sketch I knocked out and then scanned in and slapped some color on. It has no redeeming value whatsoever, and probably will not even be funny to most people. But it's amusing to me. A few of my friends and I were discussing the upcoming Harry Potter movie, and how they would be portraying Voldemort. We were discussing how they would make him seem really evil, and someone said, "Heck, all they have to do is make him a Yankees fan." We all had a good chuckle at that, and then the conversation moved on. And yet.... ( Voldemort is even more evil than we thought. ) | | Wednesday, September 1st, 2004 | | 12:34 am |
New picture in the works.
I have the lineart all done, but I'm coloring it on the computer, which is taking forever. It's Sirius/Remus, and omigawd will have naked boys in it. No actual, um, activity, at least not beyond a little cuddling but... naked! Eeep! I hope people will like it (if anyone's actually reading this journal, which I kind of doubt). I'm moving into school in a couple of days, so things might be a little hectic. But hopefully I'll finish it relatively soon and get it up here. I love how I'm spending so much time on something that I will never show anyone I actually know in real life. I think my family and friends would rather discover that I was gay (which I am not) than that I like to draw gay Harry Potter fanart (which I do). Ah well. | | Thursday, August 26th, 2004 | | 12:34 am |
Well, this took frelling forever.
But I finished it, and colored in a background, which is 8 kinds of unheard-of for me. And... I don't hate it. Draco getting ready to go back to school, while Lucius watches him (in a non-slashy way! honest!). The border's all weird because your POV is supposed to be through a mirror (i.e. Draco is looking into a mirror to fix his tie, and you the viewer are looking out through the mirror at him). ( Let the Malfoy smugness overwhelm you. )I think this may be my favorite rendition of Draco so far. He actually looks around the right age to be at Hogwarts, and heck, I dunno. I just think this is the least objectionable Draco I've drawn. | | Wednesday, August 25th, 2004 | | 3:15 am |
This started off as a quick Draco sketch,
then I decided to scan it in and slap a minimum of color on it, just for the heck of it. No shading or anything complicated like that, this is still pretty much a sketch of Draco. Just, er, a somewhat finished-looking kind of sketch. ( SlightlyOlder!Draco flying )OK, this is how my brain went about this one. Draco's in his last year at Hogwarts, or maybe just out of school. He's a member of the Order. And they have uniforms. Which he's wearing. Hence the (pathetically drawn) phoenix symbol on his sweater. It's Slytherin colors because, heck, I don't know, maybe they have different squads or something. Meh. Sketch. Not coherent. Anyways, I imagine he's about to hex the heck out of someone who's tailing him. And that's about it. The boots were inspired by a polo game I went to this past weekend. I'd never been to one before, it was neat. Their boots immediately made me think of Quidditch boots, and come to think of it that's probably the reason I drew this in the first place. Huh. | | Monday, August 23rd, 2004 | | 12:49 am |
I might bite the bullet here
and post this to ( gasp gasp!) a community. hunkwarts is running a cross challenge with andropotterist, and this sprung into my mind, mostly because I was sick of seeing Draco get stuck as the girly one.
So I tried to draw Harry and Draco, with Harry as the girly one. But I tried to keep both of them pretty consistent with the body types I think they would probably have, and I tried to keep personalities as canon as is possible in slash fanart. So we have a Draco who's supposed to be masculine without being bulky or all 'Grrargh!', and a Harry who's supposed to be girly without actually being in a dress.
Whether or not I succeeded in doing this remains to be seen.
( Lazy background. Lazy, lazy, lazy. )
I have yet to figure out how to post things to the Interweb that don't get their colors washed out by the computer. Alas, alas. | | Sunday, August 15th, 2004 | | 9:49 pm |
Finally, some new art.
Even though the color was washed out horribly by the computer (again), I'll post it. Feh. Goddamn internet, ruining my marker work. ( The Marauders et. al. )Here we have (from left to right) Lily, James courting her, Remus being all thoughtful and whatnot, Peter looking up in awe, Sirius being a prat, and Snape being on the receiving end of said pratness. The background was really more just to have something there, so you can ignore it with impunity. | | Saturday, August 14th, 2004 | | 6:08 pm |
Aarrgh.
8 million unfinished drawings are sitting on my desk right now. I will finish them. Or at least post some of the inked ones and color them later. New stuff here soon, I promises, I does. | | Sunday, July 25th, 2004 | | 7:24 pm |
Well, this took forever.
It started out because I was in a depressing mood, and moodily drew the depressing Dead Cedric scene. Then I grimly decided that, by god, I was going to color it in Photoshop and I was going to color it in fully. With stone that looked something like actual stone. And a cheap lens flare. ( Yes, Cedric is dead. Can't blame me, though, I'm not the one who killed him off )So I finished it to the point where it more or less doesn't make me hate it. I think I need to take a break from Photoshop now, maybe for a month. And yeah, the green is because it's all about the Avada Kedavra, baby. | | Saturday, July 17th, 2004 | | 8:16 pm |

Well, this is an enormous mess,
but it's an enormous mess that I inadvisedly spent a ton of time on, so here it is. I apologize in advance for the ridiculously huge file size, it wouldn't reduce any further without losing quality severely. I therefore present a moment at breakfast at the Gryffindor table, where a certain Mr. Malfoy surprises all by giving one Harry Potter a good-morning lick. ( See, it's got more than two people in it, and they're not just floating in white space. So I kind of had to post it )Drawn with Micron pens and colored with Prismacolor markers, as per usual. Characters are as follows: The two people standing in the background are McGonagall, who is horrified at Draco's behavior, and Snape, who is merely exasperated. All the way on the left with brown hair and a camera is Colin Creevey, capturing the moment for posterity. Of course. On the side of the table closest the viewer, from left to right is Neville Longbottom, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, and some nameless and traumatised first year. Neville is generally shocked. Hermione and Ginny had some sort of bet about Draco and Harry, which Ginny has obviously just won. On the far side of the table, from left to right is Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Dean Thomas, and Seamus Finnigan. Draco is, indeed, licking Harry, who is shocked senseless. Ron is utterly disgusted, and Dean and Seamus are amused by Ron's reaction. Like I said, it's a bit of a mess, but it does look better at its actual size. And the fact that I actually finished the damn thing is enough for me. |
